8vo; First Edition; in the publisher's beige card boards, blue buckram spine, somewhat faded, white lettering to spine, printed illustrations of shells and title to front board, some light bumping to head and foot of boards, light discoloration to top edge, interior bright and clean, in a non-priced clipped dust jacket, now in mylar, chipping to the top edge of spine, further tearing and chipping along the upper back edge, some sticker damage to the front, general light wear commensurate with age, Pantheon, New York, 1955.
