Your Manners are Showing: The Handbook of Teen-Age Know-How
By
Betz, Betty:
Verses by Anne Clark
Large Square Octavo, First Edition, in the publisher’s decorated paper boards, bumping to bottom edge around the spine and wear to boards, and some light rubbing to top edge, decorative endpapers, some darkening along inner hinge but otherwise binding is firm and pages are clean, fully illustrated in color throughout, 96 pages; no dust-jacket, Grosset and Dunlop, New York 1946.
Condition: Very good vintage. A tight, clean copy with some wear commensurate with age.
A wonderful, bright guide to good manners that any modern teen would relish.... ;)
Filled with solid comment-sense advice (don't blab on the phone when you have friends with you) and some archaic suggestions that might bankrupt the economy if they were taken seriously (i.e: don't eat in the street).
A lovely piece of history, found by The Wandering Poetess at a sale in Rowayton, CT.
