An absolutely gorgeous antique Meissen cup dating from the early part of the 19th century. Hand painted with a vibrant design of flowers in purples, yellows, oranges, green and blue. A thick band of gilt around the rim of both cup and saucer, now a bit rubbed in places, swan neck handle with swan's beak grasping rim of the cup, further embellished in gilt and also showing some light rubbing, both cup and saucer marked with the Meissen crossed blue swords, the saucer further stamped with a 61.
A beautiful antique piece that does show some rubbing to the gilt but is otherwise in excellent condition with no chipping, crazing, or cracks.
Saucer 5.25" in diameter, cup 2.25" high, 2.5" in diameter across rim.
