A simply stunning pair of vintage sauce boats/ gravy jugs made by Asprey of London in the 1930s.
In absolutely immaculate condition, they would make a wonderful addition to any dining table, and of course, can be used for any sort of sauce from gravy to custard to cream.
Georgian in style, with flared undulating edges, scrolled handles with a curved leaf on the upper edge to provide leverage for the thumb, and three ornate feet. Both have been fully hallmarked to the rear, and bear the strikes of A & CO, Ltd, Birmingham (Anchor), the British Standard Mark for .925 Sterling (Lion Passant), and J (1933).
Measurements: Each jug is 6.25" long and 3.5" wide.
